On the fifth day of the Festival, you could watch THE FIGHTER, a docudrama about the remarkable rise of Massachusetts-born, junior welterweight title winner “Irish” Micky Ward, at Multiplex Cinema City, at 15:00.
A determined pugilist and perennial underdog “Irish” Micky rebounded from a disheartening series of defeats to win both the WBU Intercontinental Lightweight title and the WBU Light Welterweight title thanks to a fierce combination of determination and hard work.
Director David O. Russell earned his first Academy Award nomination for Best Director for the film THE FIGHTER (2010).
Film was presented to audience by Melissa Leo, an Oscar winner, who stars in the film and is a guest of the 20th Sarajevo Film Festival. Mellissa Leo is also member of the jury for Competititon Programme – Feature Film at 20th Sarajevo Film Festival.
