Dodik called for “institutional Talks on Separation”: We have already separated, we need to formalize it

President of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) entity of the Republika Srpska (RS) Milorad Dodik called yesterday for what he characterized as “talks at the institutional level about separation”.

Dodik began his announcement with the words that “the game prepared by Bosnian Muslims regarding Kosovo’s membership in the Council of Europe will end up only hitting BiH”.

“The renegade structures of Bosnian Muslims long ago left the constitutional framework and deviate from everything that Dayton BiH represents. Maybe Komsic thinks he managed to achieve something because he remained restrained, but that does not fundamentally change anything, except that the message is clear to us in RS that they publicly showed that everything we do to preserve our constitutional position is correct and only possible in the conditions of constant subterfuge and attempts to overthrow the RS and bypass the decision-making process by unilateral action,” said Dodik.

He added that it “opens up new perspectives for the RS”.

“Well, it is no longer so unusual to say and expect the RS to do the same. There are mechanisms for that. We have already separated, in everything. We need to make official our peaceful separation, which the Bosnian Muslims initiated with their unilateral moves and the overthrow of the constitutional order. It would be best for everyone living in BiH to start discussions on separation at the institutional level because a peaceful separation is a fact and everything should be done to ensure stability and cooperation in the best possible way,” added Dodik.

To recall, ever since the announcement of the resolution on the genocide in Srebrenica in the General Assembly of the United Nations (UN), Dodik has further intensified his secessionist rhetoric, trying to create pressure and, by raising tensions, potentially sabotage the adoption of the resolution itself, Klix.ba reports.
