Dodik: Employees in BiH Institutions will take care of the Interests of RS

We are not fighting against BiH, FBiH and Bosniaks, but rather we are fighting for our rights that are written in the Dayton Peace Agreement, said the President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik today at a press conference after the meeting in Banja Luka.

Dodik assessed that “BiH has usurped the PD PA BiH and the Council of Ministers, and disempowered the Presidency of BiH as an executive body”.

“All this shows that BiH is unnecessary. Within the framework of Dayton, we will know how to defend our Dayton position and we will determine our policies accordingly” – said Dodik.

Dodik said that “representatives of Republika Srpska in joint institutions perform their duties in the best possible way, while taking into account the national interests of Republika Srpska”.

He emphasized that “representatives and leaders from Republika Srpska in institutions and services at the joint level of BiH are aware of the fact that they were elected as representatives of Republika Srpska and the Serbian people”.

Dodik also stressed that he would not accept the verdict of the Court of BiH, nor would he go to that institution, which he called unconstitutional, and then commented on the appeal against the first-instance verdict.

“That no longer exists for me. Previously, lawyers explained to me that for professional reasons they wanted to show how absurd it was, but I said without my participation and without my consent. Some are discussing whether they have my authorization, but I want to make a distinction between what my approach to it is and what they want,” he claims.

–Košarac after the meeting–

“Today I talked to them in Banja Luka about the current political situation and its possible development. There is no hype. We will work there consciously, no one has to expect some kind of subservient or some other story, we know our responsibilities” Dodik stated.

Košarac also spoke about not attending the session of the Council of Ministers of BiH.

“Things are completely clear. My president is President Dodik. I respect Mrs. Krišto, but when President Dodik invites me to a meeting in Banja Luka, when we are talking about very important issues, it is logical that I will respond to my President and the institutions of the RS. In a business-like manner, we informed Speaker Krišto, whom I appreciate and respect, that we cannot attend. We appreciate that she has a deadline of three to five days to schedule a session and I assume that she will do so. We will proceed in accordance with our decisions and positions,” said Košarac.

–Špirić: The adopted law should be interpreted as an invitation for dialogue–

The Speaker of the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Nikola Špirić, spoke today in Banja Luka, on which occasion he stated “that RS is ready for talks, but unfortunately the silence from political Sarajevo still dominates”.

“We believe that over time they will understand that it is necessary to sit down and discuss all open issues in BiH,” said Špirić, adding that the representatives of the RS, each in their own way, by working in joint institutions, will help implement what has been done in the RS, BHRT writes.
