Milorad Dodik, a member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) from the Serbian people, reacted to the decision of the Constitutional Court of BiH, which found that the Republika Srpska (RS) does not have the constitutional authority to regulate legal matters on the immovable property because that is the state’s competence.
The Constitutional Court of BiH ruled on the request of six delegates of the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH (PABiH) and rendered the controversial Law on Immovable Property of the RS invalid.
Dodik then said that Sarajevo is trying to unconstitutionally control what does not belong to BiH, saying that immovable property belongs to the entities.
”They call themselves a state that is not a state. The Constitutional Court is a dysfunctional court, all the worst things I have ever said about that court I would repeat now. It is about a group of people who are politically motivated to cause problems and create a new system that is not possible here,” Dodik emphasized.
He asserted that the property according to the Dayton Peace Agreement belongs to the entities, that the Constitution states that everything that is not expressly given to BiH does not belong to BiH and that in this way BiH could not control anything except what the entities give it.
”However, they want to change that paradigm. They brought a man who was not elected to the United Nations (UN) Security Council, they bring foreigners to the Constitutional Court, and with two Muslims they want to create what they want,” said Dodik, adding that the Constitutional Court of BiH rests on the principle “judge, jury and executioner”.
Dodik said that the property belongs to the RS.
”The property is ours and let them remember that it is ours, regardless of what they think, and in this way, they are trying to send a message to the Western world that there is someone who does not respect the Constitutional Court, even though that court itself does not respect the Constitution. How can you respect someone who does not respect the Constitution,” Dodik asked, Klix.ba writes.
