Dodik: We do not want foreign Judges in this Country

The meeting of the leaders of the parties that make up the government at all levels in Bosnia and Herzegovina has ended in Konjic.

HDZ BiH President Dragan Čović said today in Konjic that the partnership of parties in power at the BiH level is still strong and that it can face all the challenges related to the European path. Čović pointed out that the meeting was demanding and constructive.

“We looked at all aspects of the partnership. I am convinced that the meeting was more than useful because of the whole atmosphere that was created in Bosnia and Herzegovina. There is no solution to any problem without discussion. Our partnership is still strong and can face all the challenges related to the European path,” said Čović at the press conference after the meeting.

He added that all the problems that make up the 14 priorities were rationally discussed, and that the road to Bosnia and Herzegovina is the European road and there is no alternative. Čović pointed out that he advocates the expulsion of foreign judges from the Constitutional Court.

In an address to the media after the meeting, the leader of the SNSD and the president of the RS, Milorad Dodik, said that it was agreed that a commission would be formed in the next ten days to consider changes to the law on the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The goal, Dodik said, is for the authorities to fulfill 14 priorities of the European Commission by the end of the year, as well as for BiH to obtain the status of a candidate for the EU. However, if the agreement on foreign referees is not respected, none of this will be done. He pointed out that European integration was on the agenda of the meeting and that they managed to create a set of issues that they should accept as a package.

“We have different views. We are in favor of cleaning Bosnia and Herzegovina from foreign influence,” said Dodik.

He said that the meeting started with a polemic between the Minister of Defense in the Council of Ministers, Zukan Helez, and him, but that both of them apologized, and that the atmosphere was good.

At the press conference, the SNSD leader once again belittled and insulted the US ambassadors to Great Britain in Bosnia and Herzegovina, saying that they can’t do anything to him, so that he is not afraid of sanctions at all.
