Concordia press club decided to present this award to Dunja MIjatović because of her personal commitment to the issue of the freedom of media in 2015.

“Above all, Mijatović was rewarded for her tireless, personal, often exhaustive search for defense of the fundamental democratic rights of freedom of media and free reporting,” it was stated in the jury’s decision.

Award ceremony will be held on May 2 in the Epstein Palace in Vienna. Introductory speech at the beginning of the ceremony will be held by Doris Bures, president of the Austrian National Committee, the OSCE stated.

Concordia award is being awarded every year by the Austrian Concordia press club to an individual or organization for significant journalist achievements in the field of human rights and democracy, with an emphasis on the freedom of media and the freedom of access to information.
