Dzindic: There will be no Interruption in the Supply of Natural Gas to the FBiH

BH-Gas announced that they settled debts to Energoinvest yesterday afternoon, thus eliminating the issue of supplying the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FBiH) with gas.

As they stated, this was done at the request of the FBiH Government, which ordered BH-Gas d.o.o. Sarajevo to make the payment on the invoice of Energoinvest d.d. Sarajevo by yesterday at 1 p.m. for the delivered natural gas and VAT, and for Energoinvest to make the payment to Gazprom and the Indirect Taxation Authority.

However, after inspecting the payment, Energoinvest informed the relevant ministry that BH-Gas had only partially fulfilled the obligation, ie that it had not paid the full amount from the invoice.

Nermin Dzindic, the Federal Minister of Energy, Mining, and Industry, told the citizens that there would be no interruption in the supply of natural gas and that the remaining obligations would be paid on time, as the Public Relations Office of the Government of the FBiH announced.

In order to protect the interests of citizens and the economy, the FBiH Government announced yesterday that they will, in case of non-fulfillment of these tasks, take adequate measures within its competence.

To recall, Energoinvest announced on Wednesday that the delivery of gas in the FBiH will be suspended from today, Friday, May 7th, at 6 a.m. As they stated, the mentioned suspension is inevitably caused by the non-payment of the invoice of Energoinvest for the imported and delivered gas for March this year by BH Gas d.o.o. Sarajevo.

This was followed by a reaction from BH-Gas, which said that Eneroinvest’s allegations were false, and, as they stated, completely disillusioned the public.

BH-Gas will settle its obligations to Gazprom Export within 30 seconds after receiving the Russian invoice from Energoinvest, thus eliminating any threats to the regular supply of consumers with natural gas, as the company noted, BHRT writes.
