Economy Fair Celinac capital.baThe fourth regional Fair of Economy, Agriculture, and Tourism, which was officially opened last night in Celinac, attracted around 150 exhibitors from B&H, Serbia and Croatia this year, as well as a large number of visitors.

On the occasion of the Fair opening, the President of the National Assembly of RS, Nedjeljko Cubrilovic, congratulated to the municipal Development Agency for the organization of that event and pointed out that the Fair represents a significant contribution to the development of economy and promotion of business activities of this municipality, as well as to the regional cooperation.

Cubrilovic emphasized that only stable economy can provide a basis for a better social and economic environment, and that the quality of the life of citizens depends the most on economic development.

“Global changes in the world and issues in European political sphere will not help us until we don’t manage economy and development more efficiently by ourselves. Our objective is the overall economic development.  We must implement reforms at the level of RS, and thereby assume responsibility over our fate”, said Cubrilovic.

The Mayor of the Municipality Celinac Momcilo Zeljkovic pointed out that the interest in the Fair is increasing every year, which is also proven by the data that the number of exhibitors increased by 50 percent in comparison to the previous year. He noted that the Municipality that was affected by floods last year is now recovering, and that the number of employed persons increased by 2.3 percent.

Zeljkovic expressed hope that the Fair will facilitate the conclusion of new jobs and the increase in employment, as well as the expansion of business cooperation.

The Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to B&H Stanimir Vukicevic said that he hopes that this regional Fair will contribute to a better connection between the business subjects and the establishment of better regional cooperation given that, besides the companies from B&H, companies and chambers of commerce from the Republic of Serbia are also present at the Fair.

The organizer of the Fair is the Development Agency of the Municipality Celinac, and this year’s partner of the Fair is Republic of Serbia.
