The representative of the National football team of BiH, Edin Dzeko, decided to help the severely ill Ernesa Kunalic from Sarajevo after a humanitarian action was launched with the aim to save her life in recent days.

Ernesa has breast cancer, and despite three chemotherapy cycles, two surgeries and radiation, her struggle with cancer and metastasis is not over yet.

Therefore, she needs to urgently start receiving another therapy – a new, smart medicine, Olaparib (Lynparza). This medicine has recently been approved, and it is not covered by health insurance in BiH yet.

She should be receiving it for a year, and our humanitarian Dzeko decided to help her with the first month, as confirmed by his spokesman, Jasmin Ligata.

An intermediary will deliver this medicine to her.

Otherwise, this medicine costs 5,100 EUR in Zagreb and the representative of the National team of BiH decided to donate first and urged the others to help to save this young life as well.

Dzeko is known as a great humanitarian and he always participates in this kind of actions and he hopes that his example will serve to others to react and help as much as they can.
