B&H got eight new national monuments, stated in the decision of the Commission for preservation of national monuments. Among these eight, there is also the collection ”Tito” which consists of art work of artists from Yugoslavia and the collection of photographs of Ismet Mujezinović at the International Gallery of Portraits in Tuzla. There are also two historical sites, the necropolis with tomb stones in Foča, on the location Bor in Hrđavci, but also necropolis with tomb stones on the location of Lipa I, II, and III in Lipa, the Municipality of Tomislavgrad.

The president of  this Commission is Ljiljana Ševo, while other members are Amra Hadžimuhamedović, Zeynep Ahunbay, Martin Cherry and Dubravko Lovrenović.

The Commission has decided that three more historical monuments will be on the list of national monuments, those are: the Partisan monuments- Tito’s train in Oštrelj, the Municiplaity of Bosanski Petrovac, the building of the former Synagogue in Zenica, and the Church of St. Elijah, the Prophet in Maglaj. The list of national monuments also encompasses the house of the family Džabić, known as the ”Džabić tower” in Vrapčići near Mostar.

On the 56th session of the Commission, four negative decisions were also made concerning the Mosque Zelina Donja, Mosque Zelina Srednja and Hill Mosque ( Gradaćac) as well as the historical building or the house of the family Muftić in Cernica ( Mostar) as those who do not fit the criteria to be national monuments.

They have also agreed that Hastahana or the building of the Waqf hospital in Sarajevo and the ”Džabić Tower” should be on the list of endangered monuments of B&H.
