The Embassy of Japan in B&H announced the opening of the eighth edition of the international MANGA competition. The application deadline is the end of May 2014.
The Japanese Embassy in B&H announced that the best MANGA works will win the gold award, while the next three best works will win silver medals and the authors of the best works will be invited to participate at the ceremony of prize awards which will be held in Japan under the organization of the Japanese foundation.
Authors, during their stay in Japan, will have the chance to meet with other MANGA authors, to visit publishing houses and other institutions.
Applications for the competition shall be sent via mail at the Embassy of Japan in B&H or directly to the address of the 8th international MANGA competition, titled ”Application for 8th International MANGA Award”.
The annual international MANGA competition started in May 2007 at the initiative of the former Minister of Foreign Affairs Taro Asoa, with the aim of encouraging MANGA authors that with their works contributed to the promotion of MANGA culture beyond the Japanese borders.
