The Union for a Better Future (SBB) of Fahrudin Radoncicconfirmed yesterday that he will participate in the elections on his own, but that he will support the joint opposition candidate for a member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina(BiH). That candidate will be Denis Becirovic from the SDP.
Political maps are much clearer today. Although the SDP will confirm the candidacy of Denis Becirovic for the member of the Presidency of BiH from the ranks of the Bosniak people on Saturday, everything is already quite clear.
In the previous days, two of the three leaders of the Trojka, Elmedin Konakovic (People and Justice – Narod i Pravda NiP) and Nermin Niksic (SDP), held intensive talks with representatives of several parties in order to gather as wide a circle of political parties as possible to support one candidate for the presidency.
Even though neither Konakovic nor Niksic has so far openly said that it will be Becirovic, it is certain that it will be him. Thus, it is already known that Becirovic will be supported by SDP, NiP, Our Party (Nasa stranka), SBB, NES, but also by the party of the mayor of Zenica, Fuad Kasumovic, who sovereignly rules in that city.
The goal of all these parties is to jointly oppose SDA President Bakir Izetbegovic, who will be the party’s candidate for the presidency.
By uniting a wide range of parties, Becirovic‘s chances of winning increase, but it should be pointed out that the Party for BiH and the Coalition ”Drzava”, which has already nominated Mirsad Hadzikadic, will have their candidates for the same position.
The question now is who has more loyal voters, that is, how much Zeljko Komsic’s candidacy will affect the result in the Bosniak political spectrum.
Such a wide joint performance brings with it the post-election distribution of cakes so that in the Federation of BiH (FBiH), one can already predict the extremely broad Government of FBiH because inevitably every party that supports Becirovic will expect a certain payment for its support after the election.
The group of parties that will support Becirovic with this joint performance has narrowed the coalition space for the SDA, but considering that anything is possible in BiH political sky, no political combinations will be strange anymore, Klix.ba writes.
