Eleven Persons deprived of Liberty in BiH

As part of the action codenamed “West”, members of the Central Investigation Office of the Border Police of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BPBiH) and units of BPBiH Orasje, Brcko, Bijeljina, Trebinje, and units for support and control of field offices GPBiH Northeast Bijeljina, East Visegrad and South Capljina from this morning conducts searches at 11 locations.

Eleven people were deprived of their liberty, one of whom is a member of the BiH Border Police. A larger quantity of weapons and explosives was discovered during the search, the BiH Border Police announced.

The action is being carried out under the supervision of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH, and according to the order of the Court of BiH.

These activities are carried out due to the existence of grounds for suspicion that the criminal offense of “Association for the purpose of committing criminal offenses” was committed, and in connection with the criminal offense of “Smuggling of people”.

Work and activities on this case continue under the supervision of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH, the statement said.
