The Romanian Embassy to Bosnia and Herzegovina announces that, at the request of the BIH Council of Ministers for humanitarian aid, following the acceptance of the Romanian offer of assistance by the Bosnian authorities (Ministry of Security), a convoy with humanitarian aid composed of three trucks, containing: cans of pork meat (4.950 kg), canned liver pate (4.999,20 kg), sugar (20.000 kg), mineral water (18.468 l), blankets (1.000 pieces), bed sheets (2.000 pieces), pillowcases (1.000 pieces), arrived in the municipality of Šamac (northern Bosnia), one of the most affected area in the country, on 22 May.
The representative of the Romanian Embassy, on behalf of the Government of Romania, in coordonation with the Ministry of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), handed over the humanitarian aid offered by Romania to the representative of BIH authorities, in the Municipality of Šamac (Chief of Civil Protection) and BIH Red Cross.
The Embassy of Romania would like to express its high gratitude for the active involvement of the BIH central and local authorities and communities, especially to the Ministry of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), Brod Crossing Border Police, Brod and Šamac local Police and to the volunteers of Šamac Municipality (photos).
