EUFOR and AFBiH sign Training and Cooperation plan for 2022

A Training and Co-Operation Plan between EUFOR and the Armed Forces Bosnia and Herzegovina was signed today on 19th October 2021 at the AF BiH Home (Dom Oruzanih Snaga) in Sarajevo.

The training plan was signed by EUFOR Chief of Staff, Brigadier General Szilárd Gerőfi, and Major General Ivica Jerkić, Deputy Chief Joint Staff Operations for Armed Forces Bosnia and Herzegovina.

After signing the training plan, Major General Jerkić said;

“This ceremony is of great importance and confirms the relationship of cooperation and trust that we have with EUFOR”.

The agreement between AFBiH and EUFOR covers liaison and co-ordination, specialist mentoring, combined training, and joint exercises.

Brigadier General Szilárd Gerőfi praised the training efforts of EUFOR and AFBIH, adding that the success was witnessed at the recently concluded joint exercise Quick Response 2021
