Pula-amfiteatarMayor of Sarajevo Ivo Komšić and deputy Chairman of Sarajevo City Council Miro Lazović attended yesterday the marking of 5 May – Day of Liberation and Day of Pula City, reports Fena.

Komšić and Lazović were invited by mayor of Pula Boris Miletić, and Pula is the youngest sister city of Sarajevo.

As a part of marking of the Day of Pula City, a solemn Pula City Session was held and Komšić held a speech, and congratulated the day to all citizens of Pula, which is the most significant day in the history of Istria county.

Komšić said that Pula and Sarajevo are sister-cities who cherish rich cultural and historical tradition.

Later that day, together with deputy mayor of Pula Vera Radolović, Komšić opened an exhibition of photos of Duško Marušić-Čiči ‘Sarajevo’  in the Vincent gallery.

They expressed the satisfaction that this exhibition was opened as a part of marking the Day of Friendship of Pula and Komšić said that he’s impressed by the works and photos that show the every-day life of Sarajevo.

Komšić said that every photo has its story, and Čiči managed to take photos of interesting motifs of history, culture and tradition of Sarajevo.

Radolović said that Pula and Sarajevo share a part of joint history and they are both well known for the multiculturalism.
