MedicalOrganized by the Department of Surgery of the University Clinical Center in Tuzla, the international symposium on the topic ‘current treatment of acute pancreatitis’ was held today in Tuzla.

Renowned surgeons from B&H and the region are participating at the conference, as well as from Hungary, Austria and other European countries.

‘’The symposium will be attended by experts from these areas in order to share experiences in the treatment of acute pancreatitis. This is a serious illness that we are increasingly encountering in the last period. If it is not treated on time, it can become deadly. Therefore, the sharing of experiences at this level today is of great benefit, for those of us who are dealing with the treatment of this disease and for the patients that we treat’’, said Dr. Sead Šedrak for Avaz, who has been involved in the area of abdominal surgery for many years.

DR. Nešad Hotić, Director of the University Clinical Center Tuzla and Dr. Zijah Rifatbegović, Director of the Surgical Clinic UKC Tuzla opened the symposium.
