On Saturday, families of Israeli hostages held in Gaza blocked part of Ayalon, a main street in Tel Aviv, demanding a hostage exchange agreement with Palestinian factions.
The demonstrators carried signs displaying the names of 101 Israelis detained in Gaza, urging authorities to “take urgent steps to bring them back.”
They accused Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of abandoning their loved ones to maintain his political position.
Tel Aviv estimates that 101 hostages remain in Gaza, out of at least 239 Israelis kidnapped on October 7th, 2023.
