The Federal Institute for Hydrometeorology (FHMZ BiH) issued an orange alert for major part of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) on Saturday due to strong winds and intense rainfall, the official website said.
FHMZ BiH states that the orange alert is in effect between Oct. 27 until Oct. 30, and that it refers to strong wind, and from Oct.28 until Oct.30 on expected amount of rainfall of 8 and more liters per square meter in one hour.
On Saturday, rainfall is expected in the area of southern BiH, in the northern region of Krajina and in the southwestern area of the country. More intense rainfall with thunderstorms are expect in southern region of Herzegovina where between 80 and 120 liters per square meter of rain is expected, with strong southern wind of 45-65 kilometers per hour.
On Sunday and Monday, western and southwestern area of the country will be hit in the evening hours by a very strong wind. The morning temperatures will vary from 14 to 20 degrees Celsius in the morning and daily temperatures from 18 to 25 degrees Celsius.
On Tuesday, the rain will slowly stop in Krajina, and during the day in the rest of country as well. The strong wind of southwestern direction will continue to blow in the major part of the country. The average morning temperatures will be between 12 and 18 degrees Celsius, and daily temperatures between 16 and 22 degrees Celsius.
