Film “Mostovi Sarajeva” (“Les ponts de Sarajevo”), producted by Obala Art Center Sarajevo and French production house Cinétévé is showed for the first time last night at the Cinema Meeting Point in Sarajevo.
Directors and actors, members of Directorate Sarajevo Film Festival and B&H diplomatic corps attended this event, as well as many personalities from the culture and public life.
Film is made to mark the centenary of the beginning of World War I, is made up of 13 stories that are directed by Aida Begić, Leonardo Di Costanza, Jean-Luc Godard, Kamen Kalev, Isild Le Besco, Sergei Loznitsa, Vincenzo Marra, Ursula Meier, Vladimir Perišić, Cristi Puiu, Marc Recha, Angela Schanelec and Teresa Villaverde.
Authors in the film deal with the various periods of Sarajevo history, from 1914 to 1918 and from 1992 to 1995, as well as today’s Sarajevo.
Film had its world premiere at this year’s Cannes Film Festival and the official B&H premiere will take place at the 20 Sarajevo Film Festival.
This film is a new step for the Sarajevo Film Festival and its fund “Sarajevo grad filma”, which in the future, along with longtime partner Atlantic group will fully focus on supporting the production of feature films.
The fund “Sarajevo grad filma” since is launched in 2007 has supported the SEE film industry.
