American University in Bosnia and Herzegovina (AUBIH) launched a program of digitization of the educational process and with this became the first University in B&H and South- East Europe with digitized educational program. With this, AUBIH has started with this kind of process that is very popular around the world and that has brought many changes to the academic practice in the field of university education.
“AUBIH follows all contemporary technological achievements in the field of university education. We expect that other B&H universities will follow our example”- said the president of AUBIH Esmir Ganić.
American University in B&H has introduced the so called ” smart” classrooms, tablet computers and e-books as well as distance learning programs into the education process. They have also introduced the so called ” interactive smart boards”. All lectures can be filmed and students have the opportunity to watch them online. All students possess digital textbooks, guidebooks and instructions that are crucial for the education process. The evaluation of the student papers is done via electronic input of grades into a system. They also have software that disables cheating during exams.
“ Now when AUBIH is becoming the first digital University in B&H, students will have the opportunity to learn six times faster and also to acquire additional skills, in order to be able to spend the remainder of their time acquiring practical skills.”- said Denis Prcić, the president of the Board of directors of the American University in B&H.
