Mayor of Sarajevo Ivo Komšić met today with the chief of OSCE Mission in BiH Fletcher Burton , who thanked him on the reception and the given opportunity to congratulate him on becoming a mayor.
‘Sarajevo is the city well known in the World. This city has a reputation, even a mystique flavour, and that’s why the function of the mayor is important, both practically and symbolically’, noted Burton.
He said that the OSCE Mission will continue being a partner to Sarajevo in its activities and projects.
‘OSCE is a mission of your city, your country. We’ll continue with the partner relation, deepen and find new areas for better cooperation’, said at today’s meeting the ambassador Burton.
They noted that the city of Sarajevo and OSCE Mission in BiH must secure good communication, concerning the issue of Trebević lift, first Aarhaus Centre in Sarajevo, marking the Day of the Earth on 22 April, as a part of the international event ‘Sarajevo 2014’ which will mark one hundred years since the beginning of the First World War, and making the connections between Sarajevo and East Sarajevo, realization of joint projects in infrastructure, culture, sports via IPA funds, with the aim of improving the quality of our citizens.
