12782373_1117017305015891_41483203_nCitizens of the Pale Municipality in FbiH fear new floods. The rain in this part of our country does not cease to fall and the concern is all the greater since the new effusion of the Prača River from its riverbed.

As a reminder, after Prača flooded the settlements two nights ago, last night it receded into the riverbed leaving catastrophic consequences. It is all the result of sudden melting of snow from Jahorina and Romanija, confirmed the assistant to the head of civil protection Munir Radača.

By 8 p.m. on Monday, Prača flooded the settlements Prača and Voznica. Water carried trees towards the bridges, further complicating the situation. However, the Civil Protection, Utility enterprise and police managed to secure the lives of people and the property.

In the settlement Lunje, the river swept away a part of arable land, interrupted the water supply network, and carried away two lighting poles leaving this area without electricity as well.

Asim Zec, mayor of the Municipality of Pale in the FBiH, said that he did not manage to visit all threatened areas in this municipality because the situation in alarming and everyone expects help.

Zec added that the Prime Minister of the Bosna Podrinje Canton will arrive to Prača today together with the Cantonal Headquarters of Civil Protection and that all relevant institutions are up to date with the situation so that they can adequately respond to the current circumstances.

Furthermore, Zec expressed concern due to new rainfall and urges the citizens to comply with instructions given by the Civil Protection.
