proizvodnja_bih_936051526Enterprise Kondor DM from Bijeljina has been dealing with the processing of leather and production of garments from leather. Meanwhile they re-oriented to the production of footwear.

This family enterprise currently employs around 90 workers and for four years already they have been producing parts of footwear for the Italian Diadora and Swiss Stucco.

Dejan Bilić, company manager, says that it is important that this company is working eleven months in a year because many companies in the branch work around nine months in a year. Although the region of Bijeljina had around two thousand employees in footwear industry in the past, there are now only a dozen good shoemakers.

Young manager Dejan Bilić is thinking differently from the majority of young people nowadays. He says that young people today dream of getting their first job in public sector with a starting salary of 1.200 BAM.

“We must look at things from a different perspective. I would recommend young people, who are unemployed, to learn to do anything and move gradually, step by step, towards the achievement of their life dream. No one can become the head of production in our factory right away. In order to do that, one must learn the working operations of around 70 machines and spend years in the factory, to acquire the necessary work experience. When young people understand that, then the things will move in the desired direction,” said Bilić.
