The FBiH Administration for Inspection Affairs performed 157,090 inspections in 2022, which is 8,167 inspections (6 percent) more than in 2021.

Director of the FBiH Administration for Inspection Affairs (FUZIP) Anis Ajdinović today at a press conference summarized the results achieved by the Administration in 2022, presented future goals and plans aimed at continuous institutional development, capacity building, operability and efficiency, timely and complete response to crises and challenges, and anti-corruption vision and integrity.

Ajdinović stated that out of a total of 157,090 inspections carried out, the border inspection sector in the cross-border control of goods carried out 146,009 inspection inspections of imported shipments (7,710 inspections, i.e. 5.3 percent more than in 2021), while in internal control within the scope of competence 11 of federal inspectorates, 11,081 inspections were carried out.

He stated that the highest number of work-related injuries was recorded at RMU Banovići (141) and RMU Kakanj (127).

The total number of injuries at work at the level of observed mines and contractors at facilities of interest to the Federation of BiH in the last five years has been in constant decline.

Market, tourism and catering inspectors also carried out 3,320 inspections, issued 28 decisions banning work/activities, and issued 1,853 misdemeanor orders in the amount of 2,619,630 BAM.

Due to non-compliance with regulations, goods worth 185,623 BAM were put out of circulation.

For non-issuance of fiscal invoices and lack of fiscal cash register, 1,160 inspections were carried out and 461 misdemeanor orders were issued with a financial burden of 1,015,150 BAM.

In the area of consumer protection, 153 inspections were carried out, within which 59 irregularities were determined, and 118 misdemeanor orders were issued in the amount of 156,000 BAM.

Special attention, Ajdinović emphasized, was devoted to controls of the biggest polluters in the FBiH, business entities Arcelormittal Zenica, Elektoprivreda BiH TPP Kakanj, Natron-Hajat Maglaj, GIKIL Lukavac and SISECAM Lukavac, Elektoprivreda BiH TPP Tuzla.

In order to suppress the established forms of violations of the regulations of the “gray economy” (black market, failure to issue fiscal invoices, work without authorization, trade of goods without origin), inspectors issued 2,142 misdemeanor orders in the amount of 3,068,936 BAM, and it was established that 292 entities did not issue fiscal invoices.

“In order to ensure and improve the degree of the legality of business operations, the cumulative work of all social actors and authorities on the application of regulations is needed, starting from market mechanisms, rules and instruments of the private sector, through activities undertaken by civil society organizations to court proceedings,” said the director of the FBiH Administration for Inspection Affairs, Anis Ajdinović, at today’s press conference.
