The second technical agreement on the allocation of financial support from Germany of 200.000 euros for the implementation of infrastructure measures, improving the security of the ammunition and explosives warehouse “Grabez” in Bihac and the fuel storage “Stojkovici” in Novi Travnik, was signed yesterday in Sarajevo.
This agreement was signed by the Minister of Defense in the Council of Ministers, Sifet Podzic, and the German military attache in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), Franz-Josef Nolte.
“After reviewing the situation at the locations and drafting project tasks for the needs of members at the locations of the Armed Forces (AF) of BiH, the signing of today’s technical agreement is the second step that will be realized within the German donation project of 1.1 million euros,” it was announced yesterday by the Ministry of Defense.
Nolte pointed out that this is the second agreement out of four that are planned to be realized.
He expressed hope that this investment will significantly improve the security of members of the AFBiH who perform their duties at locations covered by the technical agreement.
“I am sure that we will continue this project in the next year. I know that you are functioning on a temporary budget, and I am doing everything to realistically present the whole situation from BiH in Berlin,” concluded Nolte.
Podzic expressed satisfaction and gratitude for the continuation of the initiative of Germany to start arranging the infrastructure and facilities where members of the AFBiH are staying by realizing the mentioned donation.
“The implementation of this donation will improve living and working conditions, and significantly improve the standards of the facilities of the AFBiH,” Podzic added.
