Government Buildings in Sarajevo, Tuzla and Zenica Set on Fire

[wzslider]Sarajevo: Protestors in Sarajevo are throwing any objects they can get their hands on at the police (Rocks, trash cans, traffic signs) announced Al Jazeera Balkans. An emergency situation has been declared around the building of the Sarajevo Canton government, and the entrance to the government building has been set on fire. Currently, protestors are inside the building and are throwing objects out the window. So far, there is chaos in front of the building. Firefighters are not able to approach the government building because traffic has been blocked, so they are not able to put out the fire. 4 people have been injured so far, including one journalist. at 15:25, police officers came towards the protestors and forced them across the other side of the Miljacka river. But, as soon as the police officers made a cordon, protestors made a consolidated assault and returned to their initial positions. Main traffic routes are blocked and protestors are starting to march towards the B&H Presidency building.

Tuzla: Around 11.000 people are currently peacefully protesting in Tuzla in front of the Tuzla Canton government building, which is surrounded in smoke. Some protestors have entered the building and set fire to it. Protestors who were not involved in setting fire to the building began to help firefighters put out the fire, which is becoming difficult to do so due to wind.

Zenica: Protestors are gathered in front of the Zenica -Doboj Canton (ZDK) building. They have entered the building and set fire to several rooms. They did not allow firefighters to approach the building. Afterwards, police officers who were securing the ZDK building, placed their equipment on the ground, and allowed protestors to take control of the building.

Bihac: Journalist of BHT Elvira Ceric announced that there are thousands of people on the streets, many of them young people, who are destroying automobiles owned by the government of Una-Sana Canton. The police is not reacting.
