Government of Canton Sarajevo brings New Decisions on Movement and Work of Catering Facilities

From Today, Ban on Movement from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. in Canton Sarajevo, Catering Services closing Tomorrow

The decision on the ban on movement in this period was brought by the Government of Canton Sarajevo (CS) at yesterday’s session, due to the drastically worsened epidemiological situation in this canton. The ban on movement will be in force for the next 15 days.

Also, for 15 days, starting from tomorrow, at 5 a.m., the work of catering facilities in the CS is prohibited, with the allowed delivery of food and beverages.

The conclusion on the prohibition of the work of catering services covers the activities of restaurants and other facilities for the preparation and serving of food (KD 56.10), and the activities of preparation and serving of beverages (KD 56.30).

Prime Minister Edin Forto stated that immediately after the adoption of the Proposal on Amendments and Changes to the Law on Mitigation of Negative Economic Consequences and Savings in CS, which will be presented to the CS Assembly next week, the CS Government will prepare a package of assistance for business entities who were banned from working.

All employees involved in the implementation of measures and activities on fighting the COVID epidemic in the CS, employees whose work process occurs in shifts, intercity, and international passenger transport, taxi service, as well as truck drivers domestic and international transport are exempted from the ban on movement in CS. Employees involved in the implementation of measures and activities to address the COVID epidemic, and employees who work in shifts, must have the approval of employers to move in the period from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. the next day.

Yesterday, a conclusion was reached on extending the validity of all previous set measures according to the recommendations of the Crisis Staff.
