Groupe ”Bel Canto” has been founded in Zenica in October 2011 on the initiative of young student of the Music Academy Mima Kemz in order to further develop art.

Bel Canto’s members come from Zenica, Bugojno, Novi Travnik, and those creative people chose to dedicate their free time to art.

They decided to perform a capella, because human voice has great capabilities, it can produce various tones and sounds in order to imitate instruments, which is interesting, merry, funny and authentic.

A group of young artists said: ” We are a group of ten young people that comes from the city of smoke and steel, and we want to make something new and leave something behind, and also move the urban music scene in Zenica and in BiH”

Bel Canto performed 20 times all over BiH. They had one humanitarian, 3 solo concerts, and several choir concerts in BiH, one in Rijeka on the prestigious international a capella festival ”Vocal Marathon”, where Bel Canto was the first and the only representative from BiH, and who won second place in their category.

They performed for the ”Day of Children’s Rights” in the building of Institutions of BiH in Sarajevo.

”We work for the young people of BiH, we want our voice to be heard, we want to be inspiration to generations to come, we want to improve the musical scene, to affirm young talents with aim of peace, respect and love. Our motto is peace and love”, says Bel Canto.

First year anniversary concert was held on 22nd December this year in the Catholic Grammar School ”Sveti Pavao” in Zenica.
