It will be one of the most important technological events in the region. After seven days of training under the supervision of experts from the famous “Silicon Valley” (Silicon Valley), participants will have the opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge through a 48-hour developer fight – so called “Hackathon”. The startup accelerator in Sarajevo will gather around 90 programmers from around the region.

Mayor Komšić will open Hackaton on Friday 12th September at 18:00 o’clock. In this way, the City of Sarajevo encourages the development of the IT business and keeping in view its prospects for development of BH economy.

The host of this event is HUB387, the first technology park in Sarajevo, which involves gathering a large number of information-technology (IT) companies on one location. Since being founded in the fall of 2013, it became home to over 18 IT companies.
