Half a Million BAM to be allocated for Mostar Airport?

The President of the Government of Herzegovina-Neretva County (HNC) Nevenko Herceg, the Minister of Trade, Tourism and Environmental Protection Ajdin Teletovic and Minister of Transport and Communications Stjepan Krasic met with the director of Mostar Airport Marin Raspudic and the Manager of the Maintaining Office and discussed the topic of current state and plans for the future of the Airport Mostar.

Participants agreed that there will be no stronger development of the economy, especially sector of tourism, without further strengthening and development of the Mostar Airport.

The Government will provide 500,000.00 BAM again this year, with the aim to connect Mostar and Herzegovina – Neretva Canton with numerous destinations in Europe and the  world.

It was also added that negotiations with several airline companies are currently taking place, and that flights to numerous European cities will be available from Mostar.

“We are aware of the importance of the Mostar Airport as well as its role when it comes to the development of the economy, especially sector of tourism in our canton. Thus, we decided to allocate 500,000.00 BAM without any doubt, so that we can achieve our goals in the near future and connect Mostar with as many destinations as possible. Moreover, we also confirmed that we are ready to be even more active in the development of Mostar Airport in the upcoming years,” stated Prime Minister Herceg.
