Highways of RS earned around 8 Million BAM

Euroasfalt Working on Highway in Slovenia sa-c.netDusan Topic, the director of “Highways of the Republika Srpska” said that the Highways of RS earned close to 7.8 million BAM. Namely, in the past two years, since the function of toll collection system, 3 million vehicles used the highways.

“For the usage of shares of the highway Banja Luka-Gradiska, in the period of two years, the toll station` Jakupovci` charged slightly more than seven million BAM and has counted more than 2.8 million vehicles. It is a station that works as an open toll system, where more than 2.6 million vehicles are the first category vehicles,” added Topic.

“Speaking about the number of vehicles, on second place are vehicles of the third category, ie buses and trucks, around 64,000, while heavy goods vehicles from four category were almost 62,000. The least were vehicles from the second category and small delivery vehicles – around 27,000,” said Topic.

To recall, since September 11th  last year, a network of highways in the RS became richer for new 36.6 kilometers of highway, what is the length of the section of the highway “January 9” Banja Luka-Doboj in the direction of Doboj to Prnjavor, where the toll collection began on December 26th .

According to Topic, during the period from 26th December 2016 until 15th  March 2017, around 142,500 vehicles passed and 850,000 BAM was collected.

From the previously said, the most types of vehicles were the passenger cars.
