Honorary Consulate of BIH Opened in New Zealand

novi zelandAt the ceremony that took place on Friday, 9 August at the University of New Zealand, the honorary consulate of BIH in New Zealand was opened. On this occasion, the honorary consul of BIH Zoran Salčić was presented.

The Ambassador of BIH to Australia and New Zealand Damir Arnaut said that he initiated the establishment of this honorary consulate to continue to strengthen the ties between BIH and New Zealand, and he nominated Salčić because he is one of the most respected academics in the world.

Salčić is a member of the Academy of Sciences of New Zealand and a professor of computer systems at the University of Auckland. At the opening of the consulate, he said that he was honored to represent BIH and that he would work on developing academic exchanges and scientific cooperation between the two countries.

The ceremony was attended by representatives of the diplomatic corps, Ministries of Foreign Affairs, and BIH citizens, and this is the first honorary consulate of BIH in the Southern Hemisphere.
