The Federal Parliament adopted the Law on Combating Corruption and Organized Crime in the FBiH 10 years ago, which provided for the establishment of the aforementioned department.
The current Federal Government announced the formation of this department of the Federal Prosecutor’s Office as one of its priorities.
The process itself was accompanied by a number of challenges, such as the choice of headquarters and different views on how the department should ultimately function.
The Federal Government had previously adopted a conclusion determining that the department of the Federal Prosecutor’s Office would be located in the former Privredna Banka building in downtown Sarajevo.
