ZDC agricultureThe Chamber of Commerce of the FBiH signed an agreement on cooperation with the Chamber of Agriculture of Hungary, according to which the import and export between the two countries and work on the exchange of technology will be increased.

According to the Vice President of the Chamber of Commerce of FBiH Mirsad Jasarspahic, this agreement was realized after several meetings with representatives of the Chamber of Agriculture of Hungary, which is separated from the Chamber of Commerce and it is on the state’s level.

“It is necessary for our farmers to get the fastest information regarding the closest market of the EU, and Hungary knows when to say ‘yes’ and when to say ‘no’ to the EU in order to protect its own producers in which they succeed. We want to open more doors for our producers to get the best when it comes to imports from Hungary and to find partners for export of their products in that country,” said Jasarspahic.

If we do not count members of the European Union, BiH is the seventh largest agricultural partner of Hungary when it comes to imports and exports. Through the discussions was concluded that cooperation could be better and more detailed.

“Import and export between the two countries could be even higher. I can see a great potential in Hungarian companies bringing new technologies and knowledge, and to establish better cooperation with BH companies. I can see big opportunities in processing the unused arable land in BiH thanks to investments from Hungary. Due to its geographical location, BiH has great potential and opportunities and I hope that we will specifically work on developing our cooperation,” said Gyorffy Balazs from the Chamber of Agriculture of Hungary.
