The former international football player Zlatan Ibrahimović has become a senior advisor in the Board of Directors of the Milan Football Club, the Italian team reported today.

“My love for Milan is undying. I am grateful to the people of the club for inviting me to come back. I have been thinking for a long time about my career after football and it is the right decision to start this journey with RedBird (the investment fund that owns the club) and FC Milan. For me, this is a return home,” said Ibrahimović.

Ibrahimović wore the Milan jersey for four years, on two occasions.

“Ibrahimović will work closely with Milan’s owners and management and will play a major role in the club’s sporting and business operations. His job will include player development and promoting Milan’s global brand and business interests, as well as supporting special projects of strategic importance, including the new stadium.” , the club announced.

The former Swedish national team player played 93 games for Milan and scored 48 goals, Beta reports.
