Thanks to the idea of young IT professionals, more than 20,000 Bosnian products were sold in a month, and most regular customers received awards. Very simple recipe for the promotion of our economy was fruitful.
It is an application for smartphones “Kupuj 387 (Buy 387)” that functions so that after you buy some of BH products, you scan the code and get points. The awards were given to the best ones in early February, and the application for smartphones is now, after completed test phase, officially put into operation.
“Immediately after the publication, our application became a huge hit and we were among the most popular new and free games on the Play Store in January. We have collected about 4,000 players in the first month, which resulted in more than 20,000 scans of BH products,” said Nusmir Mekic from Banovici, who is the creator of application together with Velid Vrabac.
That the number of users continues to grow is best shown by the fact that currently on the app is registered 5,375 users, therefore, those who are actively looking for BH products in supermarkets.
Moreover, with Mekic and Vrabac, who is realizer of the application, on this project also worked Mirza Alibegovic as a graphic designer, Menisa Hrvic as an assistant in the realization, Mirza Omerasevic, Haris Besic and Elmir Kobilica, who conducted the testing.
“We believe that we made a direct impact on the promotion of our products. Moreover, we have introduced rules under which we seek accounts of the best players in order to reward the best customers and avoid any possible fraud. So we received the bills as well as photos of large domestic purchases. This is also the aim of the application, to motivate our people to buy domestic products,” says Mekic.
Nusmir Mekic graduated from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering in Tuzla with 9.75, and he was recently honored in Denmark for his low-cost wind power project that everyone can afford and that are two to three times cheaper than conventional ones. He made the project “Buy 387” with his colleagues from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering in Tuzla, and these young people demonstrated their willingness to turn knowledge into practice in the best possible manner.
“The reactions of users are very positive, also partners who work with us are happy and we invite others to join us together to strengthen our domestic economy,” said Mekic.
The fact that this is a great activity for our country has been recognized by one of our best athletes Amel Tuka, who is one of the promoters of the project.
