Important Messages sent at the Opening of the 9th SBF

At today’s Sarajevo Business Forum, Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BiH Denis Zvizdic invited businessmen to invest in BiH.

Zvizdic noted that the Council of Ministers of BiH worked on improving the business environment and economic competitiveness in the past year. He added that their work influenced a number of economic parameters.

Chairman Zvizdic introduced all the attendees with some of the positive indicators in the past three years, which include significant increase of GDP, the growth of industrial and manufacturing industries, as well as low inflation rates.

Zvizdic also noted that foreign direct investments were increased by 58.6 % and that the largest investments were realized in manufacturing sector and banking sector.

When it comes to foreign trade, he noted that total trade amounted to 30 billion BAM in 2017, and that exports were increased by 17 %.

“The European Union remains our main trading partner, which are followed by CEFTA countries,” said Zvizdic.

Zvizdic also stated that BiH recorded a huge increase in the field of tourism, and he invited all businessmen to invest in numerous sectors in BiH.
