According to data of the BiH Indirect Taxation Authority (ITA), during 2012, 262 million BAM was collected from the excise tax on petroleum products.
Of this amount, 157 million BAM will be given to road maintenance, 105 million BAM refers to the construction of highways.
”Special highway construction tax will be divided among RS, FBiH and Brčko District. 105 million of collected taxes will be divided so that FBiH gets 59%, RS 39%, and Brčko District 2%”, said the Head of Communications of ITA Ratko Kovacevic.
He added that 157 million of BAM collected from tolls was paid into a single account of BiH, so that the Entity Ministries of Finance can continue to make allocations and tolls to their departments for roads.
