The export of BiH to Switzerland in the last five years recorded an average growth rate of 17.2 %, and it amounted to 100.353.485 BAM in the eight months of this year.

The leading export products of BiH to the Swiss market are electricity, furniture (especially kitchen furniture), wooden construction material, panels, other technical wood material, chairs, then textile products – men’s shirts, ALU joinery, and profiles as well as prefabricated houses.

Imports of BiH from Switzerland in the eight months of this year amounted to 319.354.230 BAM, and we mostly imported crude oil, artificial corundum, electricity, bandages, digital machines … According to the data of the Foreign Trade Chamber of BiH (VTK BiH), the export-import coverage in 2012 was only 7 %, and today it is more than 35 %.

BH companies engaged in housing that are interested in operating in the Swiss market will participate in the Business Forum and B2B Meetings that will take place in Zurich, on November 10. These are around 20 companies that offer services of design or produce for the construction and furnishing of residential, catering and business facilities such as furniture, floors, construction joinery, prefabricated houses and elements, construction materials and other construction products and equipment.

With the aim of improving economic cooperation and promotion of BH exports in the field of housing in the Swiss market, the business forum and B2B meetings are organized by the I-platform of the Diaspora for Development of BiH from Berne, VTK BiH, the Chamber of Commerce of the RS, the Chamber of Commerce of the FBiH, the project Diaspora for Development and SIPPO.

The President of VTK BiH Ahmet Egrlic stated earlier that BH companies dealing with the sector of housing and furnishing have large experience and tradition and that their products are compatible with the needs of the Swiss market.
