Increase in the Average Salary in Bosnia and Herzegovina

The average monthly paid net salary in BiH for May was 1,275 BAM, which shows a nominal growth of 2.7 percent and is 2.9 percent higher in real terms compared to April this year.

In May, employees in the information and communications sector had the highest average net salaries, 1,844 BAM, in the production and supply of electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning 1,824 BAM, and in financial and insurance activities 1,797 BAM, according to the data of the BiH Statistics Agency.

Workers in construction had the lowest average net earnings, 942 BAM, and in the activities of providing accommodation, food preparation and serving, 835 BAM.

The average monthly gross salary in BiH for May this year was 1,967 BAM, which shows a nominal growth of 2.9 percent and is 3.1 percent higher in real terms compared to April of this year.
