At last night’s extraordinary session of the House of Representatives of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FBiH) Parliament, the Bill on Amendments to the Law on Electricity was agreed, which was adopted on Wednesday in the House of Peoples, which limits the increase in electricity prices to a maximum of 20 percent.
There were more replies than discussions at the session, 77 deputies voted for this law, one was against, and one abstained.
Federal Minister of Energy, Mining, and Industry, Nermin Dzindic said that it had already been explained why it was important for this increase to be higher than 50 percent.
To recall, the House of Peoples of the FBiH Parliament, at its extraordinary session held on Wednesday, adopted the Bill on Amendments to the Law on Electricity in the FBiH.
The text previously adopted by the House of Representatives pointed out that the Government should react if the priceincrease above 50 percent, but, on Wednesday the House of Peoples adopted a text in which the limit for the FBiH Government’s response was moved to 20 percent.
