A Prosecutor of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH has filed an indictment against:

–          Obrad Miletić, born in 1994 in Gacko, a citizen of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

It is alleged against the accused that in early 2021, in order to acquire illegal property gain, he transported cigarettes without necessary documentation and excise stamps on two occasions, once in the quantity of 3690 boxes, and the second time in the quantity of 6040 boxes, with a market value of about BAM 34 000, in which he was discovered and prevented by police officers of the PS’s Trnovo and Ustikolina, when the said cigarettes were seized from the accused without documentation, and the suspect was prevented from marketing or selling the said cigarettes.

The accused is charged with procuring a large quantity of cigarettes that were not marked with control and tax stamps in the manner prescribed by the tax legislation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, with the intention of placing them on the market, i.e. selling them, in which he was prevented by authorised officers, whereby he committed the criminal offence of Illicit Trade in Excise Products under Article 210a (1) of the Criminal Code of BiH.

The indictment was forwarded to the Court of BiH for confirmation.
