Already recognized in the world in the year the association was founded in 1994, the BiH innovators have achieved significant success and work to strengthen the reputation of BiH economy and the state, but they do not have enough support in their country, which is why it is uncertain when they go to exhibitions, where they usually return with awards.
The Secretary-General of the Association of Innovators of Bosnia and Herzegovina (AIBiH), Husein Hujić, in an interview with FENA, says that innovators from Bosnia and Herzegovina were recognized already in the year of its foundation, when the Association of Innovators of Bosnia and Herzegovina (September 1994) was accepted as a full-fledged member of the World Federation of Innovative Organizations (IFIA).
“Those well-informed believed that this was also one of the reliable indicators of international recognition of the independence of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina. What’s more, one of the members of AIBH was already elected as a member of the Executive Committee of IFIA in 1998, then four times in the period up to 2010, then appointed as Director of IFIA (2010-2021), within that period appointed as Director General of IFIA (2016- 17).
It is not known that any BiH citizens have achieved such a reputation in any other association in the world, emphasized Hujić, who as IFIA Director General chaired the IFIA General Assembly in Fochan (China) in 2018.
The reputation that BiH enjoys in the world of innovation can, he pointed out, be mostly due to the quality and recognition achieved by the innovations of AIBiH members at the world’s largest creativity shows in the field of “industrial property”, as copyrights in technical and technological creativity are professionally called.
“In addition to the fact that dozens of new products have been created in BiH and other countries based on our innovations, there is another, from the point of view of the AIBiH Statute, an optional but amazing reach of our successes at world exhibitions – strengthening the reputation of BiH economy and the state,” he emphasized.
He believes that among the countries of the former SFRY, innovators from Croatia are doing the best. They have 4 to 5 persons employees in the community, at least one employee each in the county associations, and they have rich budget support, working resources, etc, Fena reports.
