President of the Party of Democratic Action (SDA) Bakir Izetbegovic met on Tuesday with the Ambassador of the United States of America to BiH Eric Nelson and Head of the EU Delegation to BiH Johann Sattler.

It was pointed out that, despite a number of aggravating circumstances related to the pandemic, the institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina headed by the Central Election Commission (CEC BiH), and in cooperation with the NGO sector, successfully organized the election process and enabled citizens to exercise their democratic right, SDA announced.

The officials also discussed the continuation of activities on the NATO path of Bosnia and Herzegovina with a focus on the obligations from the implementation of the Reform Program.

The interlocutors agreed that it is necessary to continue the political dialogue with the aim of forming a new convocation of the FBiH Government, based on the democratic will of the citizens, as well as talks regarding the implementation of the judgments of the European Court of Human Rights and the Constitutional Court of BiH within the Agreement signed in Mostar by the SDA and HDZ.

It was emphasized that it is necessary to confirm the election of new judges to the Constitutional Court of FBiH, based on the already conducted procedures.

They also discussed the health and socio-economic challenges facing institutions in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic, as well as the effective implementation of the recommendations given by the World Health Organization.
