Representatives of the Secretariat of the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council of Bosnia and Herzegovina (HJPC BiH) paid a working visit to the Ministry of Justice, Administration and Digital Transformation of the Republic of Croatia on Thursday, during which two separate meetings were held dedicated to strengthening regional cooperation in the field of justice and digital transformation.

At the first meeting, held at the aforementioned ministry, they discussed current reform processes, the digitalization of the judiciary, the management of judicial information systems, and the exchange of experiences in the implementation of projects and reform activities aimed at improving the efficiency of judicial systems.

In the second part of the working visit, a meeting was held with representatives of the State Judicial Council of the Republic of Croatia (DSV), the State Attorney’s Council of the Republic of Croatia (DOV) and the Ministry, during which they discussed the possibilities of establishing a more formal framework for cooperation between institutions through a future Memorandum of Understanding.

The proposed framework of cooperation would include joint participation in regional and EU projects, exchange of expertise and best practices within the jurisdiction of the HJPC BiH, the DSV and the DOV, as well as the organization of joint training, expert workshops and activities aimed at further strengthening institutional capacities.

On behalf of the HJPC BiH, the meetings were attended by Ivana Zovko-Planinić, Director of the HJPC BiH Secretariat, Ana Bilić Andrijanić, Head of the Department for Improving Efficiency and Quality of Work in Courts, and Admir Dulaš, Deputy Head of the Department for ICT/Judicial Information System Deployment, Project Management and Procurement.

Representatives of the HJPC BiH Secretariat were received at the Ministry by State Secretary Ivan Crnčec, Directors of Administrations Ivan Lakoš and Mladen Bručić-Matić, and Sector Advisor Vedrana Pranjić Hamarić.

The interlocutors expressed mutual willingness to continue and intensify cooperation, especially in the areas of digital transformation, improving the efficiency of the judiciary and exchanging experiences in the implementation of reform activities, the HJPC BiH announced.
