Missiles have been launched from Iran toward Israel and sirens are sounding across the country, according to a statement from Israel’s military.

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said it targeted Israel in response to the killing of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah and others, according to Iran’s semi-official Tasnim news agency.

Iran’s Revolutionary Guards confirmed that it had launched dozens of rockets at Israel and warned that if Israel retaliated, Tehran’s response “will be even more devastating and devastating.”

Iran’s mission to the UN described the attack on Israel as a “legal, rational and legitimate response”.

Israel’s military radio reported that arrivals and departures from Ben Gurion International Airport near Tel Aviv were halted after Iran launched a missile attack on Israel.

This radio reported earlier that about 200 missiles were fired from Iran at Israel.

An unnamed senior Iranian official said the order for the rocket attack on Israel was given by Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.

Iranian authorities have confirmed that the targets were cities in Israel, among which the main part of the attack was directed at Tel Aviv, which is the capital of this country.

According to the latest information, 150 rockets were launched towards Israel. Authorities there claim that the Iron Dome, a missile defense system, intercepted a large number of missiles.

So far, there are no confirmed casualties, and preliminary information says that two people were slightly injured.
