The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have eliminated Hassan Ali Mahmoud Bdeir, a member of Hezbollah’s “Unit 3900” and the Iranian Quds Force, in an airstrike carried out overnight in a suburb of the Lebanese capital Beirut, the IDF press service announced.

The statement said that the terrorist was eliminated in the Dahiyeh area, a key Hezbollah stronghold.

The IDF stressed that Bdeir “recently acted in cooperation with Hamas, directing the movement’s terrorists and assisting them in planning and carrying out major terrorist attacks targeting Israeli civilians,” TASS reported.

“Given the immediacy of the threat, Bdeir was immediately targeted in order to prevent the attack,” the statement noted.

The IDF adds that Israeli services will continue to deal with any threat directed against Israel and the Israeli people.
