Izetbegovic: Some Dangerous Things Will Take Place in Banja Luka

Bakir Izetbegović, leader of the Party of Democratic Action (SDA), said on Federal Television (FTV) that he has information that “some dangerous things will happen in Banja Luka,” without providing further explanation.

He said that in the coming days, something will happen in Banja Luka that will catch Denis Bećirović, Member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Elmedin Konaković, Minister of Foreign Affairs, off guard. Izetbegović added that he has information that Bećirović and Konaković do not, and that they will be “caught off guard.”

“We are under the illusion that Konaković and Bećirović are in control of the situation. Konaković is especially good at pretending to have everything under control, but they are caught off guard. They will also be caught off guard by some things in the coming days in Banja Luka. I will not say what things. They do not know what will happen,” he said.

When pressed for more details, he refused to elaborate but did say that these matters are “related to the concessions by international actors toward Dodik.”

“That is dangerous, of course. But they do not know that will happen. Just like journalists, we also have our own sources.”

Konaković Responds

Elmedin Konaković, President of the People and Justice Party (NiP) and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, called on Izetbegović to inform the judiciary if he has any relevant information.

“This proves that he and his team hate the Troika – Denis, Dino, Neko, and other members – more than they love their country. If I had such information and he were in my position, I would have called him immediately and told him that I had the information,” Konaković said.
