January –July: Sarajevo Canton Visited by 165 044 Tourists

touristsIn a period from January until July this year, Sarajevo Canton was visited by 165 044 tourists. This number represents 3.6 percent increase when compared to the same period last year – was announced from the Tourist Board KS, Asja Hadžiefendić-Mešić.

The most arrivals were realized by tourists from Turkey (15.3 %), followed by Croatia 14 (%), South Korea (7.7 %), Slovenia (5.8 %) and Serbia (4.9 %).

Hadžiefendić-Mešić added that tourists made ​​269 612 overnight stays, which is higher by 5.5 percent compared to the same period in 2013. She emphasized that the average number of days of stay was 1.9.

“In period from January until July, Canton Sarajevo was visited by tourists from 126 countries around the world”, concluded Hadžiefendić-Mešić.
